I Keep Getting Heartburn Or Acid Reflux When I Work Out. How Can I Prevent This?

I have eaten before a workout. I always eat after a workout. About an hour before I work out I usually drink a protein shake with fruit in it. But sometimes I get heartburn so bad I have to stop in the middle of my routine.
